The Township Economy Awards

  • The below terms and conditions are applicable to all initiatives, events, workshops planned, created and implemented by Intercessor Army Franchising and the 3rd parties they create events on behalf of and as a service provider.                                          
  • INTERCESSOR ARMY FRANCHISING the legal company will also be known withing these Terms and conditions as either TEA, Township Economy Awards, Township Economy Summit, TEA Group as these are the brands owned by INTERCESSOR ARMY FRANCHISING.
  • If you have previously been awarded a place in the Township Economy Awards competition(s), you may not enter the same innovation into the competition again.
  • By submitting your information, you agree to receive awards & summit-related communication.
  • By entering this competition, you agree that you and your organisation will not hold TEA (Intercessor Army Franchising), it’s associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage based on the activities undertaken during the awards or for any loss or damage sustained to your reputation or business.
  • TEA will hold all innovation documentation submitted for the awards as private and confidential. Only authorised individuals who have signed the TEA non-disclosure agreement will be given access to award submissions. Authorised individuals include Judges, the Intercessor Army Franchising and TEA core team and heads of business tasked with the summit & awards.
  • Information submitted by entrants will only be published in the media if authorisation has been received from the entrant’s organisation. This is specific to the publicising of high-level descriptions of the digital innovations which have been recognised through shortlisting or having received acknowledgement for achievement in any of the categories.
  • TEA reserves the right to extend the closing date for submissions in any category should it be deemed appropriate.
  • TEA reserves the right to cancel any category of the awards during the awards process.
  • TEA may amend these terms and conditions without notifying you.
  • There is no entry fee associated with the Township Economy Awards, all entries are free.
  • Businesses may only enter for one category as long as the organisation falls within the category restrictions as a business for
  • All entries must comply to the submissions format as outlined in the awards entry pack.
  • If an entry is inaccurate or incomplete, does not comply with the conditions for entry or is deemed, at the sole discretion of the Township Economy Awards, ineligible for any other reason, then the relevant entry will be disqualified.
  • Entries must be received before the closing date of the awards to be considered. If you experience any difficulty with the entry process, please contact TEAS@JoinUsForTEA.co.za before the closing date.
  • All entries must be submitted in accordance with the process outlined in the website.
  • Patentable and private information disclosed in the entry pack should be so indicated and will then be treated as such and fully protected.
  • These terms and conditions are subject to the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
  • We may terminate the competition immediately and without notice if we need to do so because of the law.
  • In the case of an unforeseen or unexpected event that cannot be reasonably anticipated or controlled (also referred to as “force majeure”) which in turn affects the fairness and/or integrity of this contest, we reserve the right to cancel, change or suspend this contest. This right is reserved whether the event is due to human or technical error. If a solution cannot be found to restore the integrity of the contest, we reserve the right to select winners from among all eligible entries received before cancelling, changing, or suspending the contest.
  • All shortlisted finalist contestants will be invited to the awards event in November at which the winners of each category will be announced. TEA will issue a press release announcing the winners with images and video.

 

By participating in any events planned and controlled by INTERCESSOR ARMY FRANCHISING, you agree to the following:

  1. All attendees attend the INTERCESSOR ARMY FRANCHISING events , workshops and activities at their own risk and such events are provided with no special warranty either express or implied. 

 

  1. Unless provided in a specific contract, the attendee/s agree that all copyright including audio, video, Data shared, pictures produced, captured  and the concepts taken and/collected (Material) in INTERCESSOR ARMY FRANCHISING events and/or shows attended, vests with INTERCESSOR ARMY FRANCHISING upon creation and remains the property of INTERCESSOR ARMY FRANCHISING. The attendee/s consent that they shall not have any claims to such Material.

 

 

  1. Attendee/s give authorisation to the INTERCESSOR ARMY FRANCHISING to use and post any photographs, videotapes, recordings or any other record of our events, including full names of any participants, before during or after the event for promotional use, reporting to the media and to publish on its website or blog. Attendee/s specifically agree that they will not be entitled to any compensation from the INTERCESSOR ARMY FRANCHISING for the use of the attendee/s name or image.

 

  1. The attendee/s thus indemnifies the INTERCESSOR ARMY FRANCHISING and shall hold it harmless against any and all Losses arising by reason of the use of the Material  including all Losses arising from claims for actual or alleged infringement of any intellectual property rights.

 

 

  1. Without limitation to any other provisions of this Disclaimer, the Attendee/s irrevocably and unconditionally indemnifies INTERCESSOR ARMY FRANCHISING, its organizers, directors, employees, consultants, agents, affiliates for any and all legal actions arising out of participation in  the INTERCESSOR ARMY FRANCHISING event against all Losses arising from such attendance and in connection with –
  1. any damage to property ,theft ,death arising from the negligent or wilful acts of attendees;
  2. death or injury to any person arising from the negligent or wilful acts of Attendee/s; and 
  3. any loss, theft, damage, or injury to property or persons, including death, whether arising in contract, negligence, or otherwise.

 

  1. No illegal substances, harmful objects, smoking inside venue or disruption of the programme is allowed

 

  1. Right of admission is reserved.
